Our Work

Atlantic Edge Films is based in False Bay just outside Cape Town. Our unique location allows us access to a wealth of marine wildlife and enables us to mobilise a crew quickly. Being in the 'right place at the right time' means we have captured many ‘never-before filmed’ events such as:

 Killer whales hunting common dolphins.

Great white sharks feeding on a dead whale

Huge bait balls with 100’s of sharks.

Atlantic Edge Films regularly visits more far-flung locations and we house an extensive stock library, (4K, 6K, and 8K) of marine wildlife from around the world.
Our collection of exceptional footage can be viewed in our stock library under Premium Footage.  Most of our footage is accessible via this website but if you don’t find exactly what you are looking for please contact us directly. We are always in the field so if you need a specific shot or sequence for your production please contact us to discuss your requirements. We can assist with filming permits, logistics, and provide marine support on location - including boats, dive and camera equipment to hire.

Our cameramen, Morne Hardenberg and Mark van Coller were commissioned by the BBC to shoot specific sequences for the Blue Planet II series, (2017).
Atlantic Edge Film's footage has also been featured in:

SHARK, BBC series  (2016).

Killer Whales The Mega Hunt, Discovery Channel / Animal Planet (2016).

Shark Kill Zone, National Geographic (2014).
